Guidelines For XPWA

Rules

  • You cannot enter the wrestling arena until you have sent me an email.
  • You must act according to your characters alignment, but if you wish to change alignments...we'll do so through a storyline.
  • You cannot request a title match, but you can request a match against someone and if you want to interfere in someones match let me know first, sometimes I'll allow it.
  • Don't complain if you loose a match, if you lost you lost.
  • You can be a wrestler from any organization or you can create your own wrestler, thats entirely up to you.
  • Attacking someone backstage is not allowed unless you get my permission.
  • You may have up to two wrestlers, I don't care as long as you can handle them, but if you can't I'll ask you to drop one.
  • Have Fun

Battle System

  • When you win a match you gain 100 EXP and when you loose a match you will gain 50 EXP to level up your character.  I won't let the levels be known, but when you do ascend to a new level you will see it.
  • Life Points: Life Points or LP is your most important stat as they are your life force; the more you have the better.  When your character reaches 0 LP they are knocked out and cannot continue with the fight.
  • Strength: Strength or STR is your physical attack statistic; it determines how much damage any basic attack will do.  If you aren't using a weapon, STR is your damage to an opponent.  If you are using a weapon, the damage formula is STR x 2.
  • Vitality: Vitality or VIT is your physical defense statistic; it determines how much damage you will take from a physical attack.
  • Dexterity: Dexterity or DEX is your speed in battle, it determines who goes first and will also determine if you can dodge an opponents attack. (Don't go overboard dodging everything someone throws at you.)
  • Luck: Luck determines if you can escape a finisher or not and return with a critical attack.  Now a critical attack for those who may not know is a very powerful special attack that lets you do more damage then a normal attack.

Battles on this site will be turn based like a real wrestling match.  Don't worry about the attacks damage as these matches will be freeform.  In a match if someone is going for their finisher and you actually think you can go for a counter...I mean a real counter which means a sensible counter.  Here's an example of a match, I'll try and do a full match or half of one from start to finish.

Undertaker: The Undertaker's music hits after the announcer announces him, slowly walking down the ramp as white smoke covers the floor.  He ascends the steel steps, holding his head down, his arms at his side.  Slowy raising his arms, the light slowly comes back to the arena and then he climbs into the ring.

Kane: The announcer yells out his information, signaling his music to blair throughout the arena, his music alone causes goosebumps to form on the arms of everyone in attendance...but not his brother The Undertaker.  He walks to the ring relatively quickly and steps over the top ring rope.  Raising his arms, he brings them down causing fire to shoot from each of the ring posts.

The Undertaker: He doesn't waste anytime, going right on the offensive punching Kane in the face three times, rearing his fist back and plowing it into the side of his face, knocking him back.

Kane: He doesn't expect the punches to come, taking all of them and as he gets knocked back into the ropes he comes back with a clothesline, nearly taking his head off.  He reaches down, picking him up by the hair, grabbing him by the arm and whipping him into the ropes, when he comes back he hits him with the big boot.

The Undertaker: Expecting a big boot when he came back he decided to hit Kane with a flying uppercut taking him off of his feet and sitting up quickly.  He reaches down, grabbing Kane by the back of his head and then places him in the DDT position, dropping him head first into the mat.

Kane: Just when the Undertaker thought he had him, he rammed his back into one of the corner and hit him with repeated shoulder thrusts to his abdomen.  Once The Undertaker released his hold on his head, he stepped back and came up with a devestating uppercut, knocking the Undertaker down in the corner.

The Undertaker: Having Kane knock the wind from him in the corner from the shoulder thrusts and having his head nearly taken off by the hellacious uppercut, he was severly tired out and at Kane's mercy.

Kane: He reached down, picking The Undertaker up by his wrist, pulling him back to the center of the ring.  He puts the Undertaker in a headlock, and then drapes his arm over his neck.  Picking The Undertaker up for a suplex and then sends him crashing down into the mat.

The Undertaker: He feels his back slam violently up against the mat from Kane's suplex.  He almost has nothing left, something calls out to him from the darkness revitalizing him, but he stays on the ground letting it wash over him.

Kane: He steps over the ropes and climbs one of the four turnbuckles.  He remains perched on the top, like a hawk watching its prey before swooping down and taking it out.

The Undertaker: He rolls to his side, slowly getting to his feet and turns around not aware of Kane perched on top of one of the turnbuckles.

Kane: He jumps from the top turnbuckle looking to hit The Undertaker with his patent clothesline that he does right before he sets them up for the Chokeslam.

The Undertaker: He was ready for this reaching out, catching Kane by his throat and spins around.  He picks Kane up into the air, slamming him down into the canvas hard, he picks him up again and repeats the process two more times before finally pinning him.

Kane: Not ready for that type of counter he goes up for the ride and driven into the canvas not one, not twice, but three times and is out of comission.

The Ref: One....Two.....THREE!!! *He signals for the bell to be rung and then the announcer declares the Undertaker as the winner*

As I said before this is an example, I'm just showing how a match goes, but when we do have matches they won't be that organized.
